How To Find Us

By train

The nearest mainline station is in Porthmadog (2 miles) served by trains on the Cambrian Coast Line – Birmingham & Shrewsbury to Pwllheli. Bus route 1 also serves this station.
Alternative Rail stations are Porthmadog Harbour station (3 miles) on the Ffestiniog Railway, which connects with mainline services from the North Wales coast via the branch line to Blaenau Ffestiniog, or Bangor (25 miles) on the North Wales Coast Line – between Crewe / Chester and Holyhead.

By Car

We are located on the A487 Porthmadog to Caernarfon road in the village of Penmorfa, two miles from Porthmadog.

Directions From Caernarfon: On entering the 30mph zone at Penmorfa we are on the right just beyond the first bend. Look out for the Bed and Breakfast sign.
Directions From Porthmadog: Follow the A487 to Tremadog, turning left for Caernarfon. On entering the 30mph zone at Penmorfa the road climbs uphill and bends to the left. We are approx 100yds on the left beyond the bend. Look out for the Bed & Breakfast sign.

Ferry

Holyhead is approximately 1hr drive by car

Airports

Nearest airports – Liverpool or Manchester. Approximately 2.5 hours drive by car

Bus Services to Penmorfa

The nearest bus stop (both directions) is just outside the house. This is served by buses from Caernarfon and Porthmadog (mainly Gwynedd Bus route 1, operated by Arriva Bus Wales

Check in and Check out times?

Check in times are usually between 4pm and 10pm. Guests who book direct with us via our own website or by phone can take advantage of a more flexible arrangement

Early check- in and a later check- out is offered to direct bookings only.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 7 days prior to arrival.

Do you accept dogs?

Sorry, we love dogs but for hygiene and out of respect for future guests with allergies we do not allow any pets into the guest rooms. Many of our guests have used excellent local kennels to house their dogs overnight. Details can be given.

More information you should know

We have parking available for six cars sensibly parked in our private car park. Parking is off road and is at car owners risk. We cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to your vehicle or contents.
We have a hot tub available for guest use. Use of this facility is free but subject to adherence to strict conditions of use for the benefit of all users. Misuse of the hot tub in any way that results in damage or additional cleaning costs will incur charges.
Additional beds and children under the age of 12 cannot be accommodated. Bookings cannot be made by persons under the age of 18 years of age.
No deposits are required from guests who book directly through our website; although card details will be taken and verified at the time of booking.
Smoking (and vaping) is not allowed in the rooms under any circumstances. Smoking is allowed outside but please be respectful to other guests. Guests found to be smoking in their rooms will be asked to leave immediately without reimbursement.
In order to ensure we are on site when you arrive, please advise us by text of your anticipated arrival time.
Glaslyn room and Moel Y Gest room have a minimum stay of two nights. Pennant room is available for bookings of one night or more.
